How Can the Dharma Help Combat the Epidemic?

Question: Facing the epidemic, how can we Buddhist disciples help the epidemic-stricken areas through the Buddha-Dharma?

Answer: Publicize the law of cause and effect, so that sentient beings know that eating the flesh of sentient beings—killing and eating one another—brings severe retribution, and that the suffering of birth and death in saṃsāra is unbearable. This is the most long-term and effective way to help sentient beings; all other methods are temporary and do not solve the fundamental problem.
