For a Dharma principle to penetrate deeply into the heart, one must immerse oneself in meditation, simultaneously practicing cessation and contemplation. By frequently contemplating it during meditative concentration, uninterrupted attention will form, contemplating it at all times. The mental faculty will then firmly grasp this principle, silently investigating it. One day, this principle will be thoroughly comprehended. Without sufficient meditation, the meaning of the Dharma cannot be deeply ingrained in the heart, genuine doubt cannot form, breakthroughs will not occur, and the substantive essence cannot be investigated and realized.
