We should regularly train ourselves, use our minds diligently to think, thoroughly contemplate a matter, and only then express it. If our thoughts are unclear, we should refrain from expressing them to others unless we seek their help. When we engage our minds in thinking, we strengthen our meditative concentration and give rise to wisdom. A relatively swift method for cultivating concentration is to deeply contemplate a Dharma principle, condensing this principle into a single point, suspending it within the mind without letting it scatter, keeping it present at all times. By doing so, the mind remains undistracted. The more interested we become in this Dharma principle, the more focused the mind becomes, and the stronger the concentration. Over time, this practice will develop into a habit of focused contemplation, leading to rapid growth in wisdom.
