Sentient Beings Listen to Deception but Not to Advice

Brainwashing employs glib and cunning means that cater to sentient beings' craving psychology, so sentient beings easily believe it and are thus subtly influenced and tainted. Positive education, on the other hand, often runs counter to craving, and sentient beings find it hard to accept and hard to be influenced by. For demons, it is easy to make sentient beings become possessed by demons; for the Buddha, it is difficult to make sentient beings enter the Buddha's state. That is why sentient beings listen to deception but not to earnest advice.
