Original text:

Explanation: In the process of cultivating the path, because there is the attention of observation (manaskāra), throughout the entire process of cultivating the path, one repeatedly and repeatedly observes which afflictions one has already eradicated and which afflictions one has not yet eradicated, and cultivates correctly and in accordance with the Dharma the path that should be cultivated. In the process of cultivating the Four Noble Truths, what is called the intrinsic nature of cultivation? What is called the activity of cultivation? What are the categorical differences of cultivation? It means applying attention within meditative concentration (samādhi) to cultivate and grow wholesome conditioned dharmas, both worldly and supramundane, practicing them without interruption, practicing them earnestly and diligently, causing the mind to continue on without interruption, so that the mind abides continuously in wholesome dharmas, and the mind conforms to the intrinsic nature of the wholesome — this is called the intrinsic nature of cultivation.
