How Do All Supernatural Powers and Spiritual Abilities Arise?

The mind-made body (manomayakāya) and the transformation body are indeed manifested through the manas' mental engagement, and both are subject to the manas' grasping and governing function. One body has one set of six consciousnesses. However, the manas governs and oversees all bodies: when the manas stirs a single thought, all bodies will be withdrawn into one body; with another stir of thought, one body will transform into all bodies.

Without cultivating the manas, there will not be so many qualities of merit, and the manas' functions will be limited. Without eliminating the manas' afflictions, the manas' functions and capacities will be restricted. When afflictions are exhausted, obstructions are removed, and wisdom is developed and revealed, all supernatural powers and spiritual abilities will appear.
