Material form does not change due to the observation of the mind consciousness.

All material forms (rūpa), regardless of whether the conscious mind observes them, exist in the same state; it is not the case that they are in one state when the conscious mind observes them and in another state when it does not. Without the conscious mind observing, who could know what state material form is in? One can only speculate, and whatever is speculated is unreliable and untrustworthy. Therefore, not all science is truly scientific.

For example, Zhang San's appearance, whether or not others' conscious minds observe it, generally does not differ much. As for one's own house, whether or not one is at home, whether or not one observes it, the house always remains as it is, without much difference or change. This includes all the material forms one can come into contact with: whether or not one observes them, their object-aspects are roughly the same, without significant difference or alteration.
